The Burning of the Clocks 2023

Not as violent as it sounds

Yes, there's a fire show, but the event itself is more like a big parade followed by a bit of pyromania. 

What: Each year, scores of Brighton residents flood the streets to carry willow lanterns and clocks down to the sea, where they subsequently set them ablaze in a traditional bonfire. 

Where: The annual event traditionally winds through the historic streets of Brighton every year.
