Brazilian Bioenergetics Brighton- Pelvis.

We will be jumping into a three hour Saturday Session of Bioenergetics this month focusing on the pelvic area. Letting go of our the constant noise of the mind we'll also release tensions in the body so that you can enjoy the rest of your weekend with more energy available to you wherever you choose to spend it. This dynamic and deep group therapeutic class will have a focus on the pelvis. Rob says, "Most people have some blocks in the pelvic section of the body, particularly in this un-natural culture where we are encouraged to hide our feelings and suppress as a societal norm. Not only are there psychological effects but also the pelvis becomes locked in position and inflexible and our energy doesn't flow easily- some people loose all feeling in the pelvic and genital area. These muscular and fascia holding patterns can be related to issues around repression of sexual energy, shame, guilt and fear. As young children we are free and unashamed of our energy, but sadly this is closed down and we are made to repress and hide these natural pleasurable feelings in our bodies. Through deep breathing and pelvic exercises we will restore the flow of energy to this area and begin feeling our bodies again. There maybe emotional expression, laughter, tears, and vocalisation can all spontaneously happen as we melt the armour in the body and start to feel what has been running in the background." Brazilian Bioenergetics comes from Namastê Poa and was developed by Prem Milan over the last 35 years. Its foundation is lowen but it is also mixed with influences from Osho therapy.. Workshop Leader Rob Anuprem Wilson is a heart centered therapist who has been practicing Bioenergetics for 7 years and worked on groups all over the world, training with some of the best Bio teachers in the world including Namaste in Brazil. He also trained in Encounter group therpy, TRE and the Humaniversity Aum Meditation and his approach is warm, committed, deep and playful.
